The writing and editing of this novel was super clean, with no typos that I caught in the ARC version of the manuscript! The world building was minimal, as it was set in contemporary America. The characterization was competent, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals. The development of the romantic relationship was natural and organic, considering the compressed timeline in this novel. The plot and pacing was exciting, with me turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. There was low angst in this novel and high stakes. This novel uses the Fated Mates trope and the Mars Needs Women trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were three stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship was three stars. The super clean writing and editing of this novel rated five stars. Therefore, the combined score of this novel was four stars. This novel had a Happy For Now ending, with overarching plot threads for the series left unresolved. I recommend this story to readers who enjoy sci-fi romances. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
