Puerh Teas of China
In this class, we will explore the two main classes of Puerh tea, three "ripe" or Shou Cha Puerh teas, and three "raw" or Sheng Cha Puerh teas.
I will give a short history of the production of both Shou and Sheng Puerh in China, including the modern boom that happened a few years ago. I will teach about the processing of the two types and we will taste three teas of each type. I will ask which tea was each person's favorite and whether any of the teas brought scents, images, or memories to mind.
