4 Stars

The writing and editing of this novel was very clean in the ARC version of the manuscript, with no typos that I found. The world building was surprisingly vivid. The characterization of the hero and heroine was competent, with both of them being sympathetic characters. The development of the romantic relationship was delicious. You could feel the chemistry sizzling off these two. The plot and pacing was non-stop edge of your seat action. There was little angst in this romance and very high stakes, which is one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. This novel used the Partner in Trouble trope and the Forced Proximity trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who like their sci-fi romance novels to read like adventure novels. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this romance.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
