This novel was cleanly written and well edited, with few if any typos that I caught. However, I enjoyed this novel less than I thought I was going to. The world building was competent, and the characterization was pretty skilled for a story of this length. The development of the romantic relationship between the hero and heroine did not especially move me, but there was nothing objectively wrong with the romantic relationship development. There were plenty of adventure and suspense elements in this romance, which I typically enjoy. There was pretty low angst and very high stakes, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. It just did not seem very exciting in this case. Other readers who enjoy sci-fi or post-apocalyptic romances may enjoy this novel more than I did, because there is nothing wrong with this story that I could put my finger on. I will not be buying myself a keeper copy of this romance.
