The writing and editing was fairly clean in the ARC version of the manuscript, with occasional typos. Hopefully that will be fixed in the retail version. The world building of the city hive and the Quarantine Zone were both vivid. The characterization was the best for the heroine, which is typical for a reverse harem romance novel. Characterization is quite a challenge when you have three or more romantic heroes in a single novel. The development of the romantic relationship was okay, though there was more attention given to the sexual relationship. The plot and pacing was tight and quick. There was little angst and very high stakes in this romance, which I typically prefer in a romance novel. This novel used the Mating Bond trope and the Partner in Trouble trope. The world building, plot and pacing were all four stars. The characterization was three stars. The development of the romantic relationship was three stars. I rounded up and gave this novel a combined score of four stars. This novel has a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus. I recommend this title to fans of m/f omegaverse romances. I would be interested in reading the next book in this series. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel, though I did enjoy it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
