The writing and editing in the ARC version of this manuscript was clean, with no typos that I found. The world building was very vivid, with both Iceland and New York coming to vivid life for me. The characterization was excellent, with both hero and heroine being complex, nuanced individuals. The development of the romantic relationship was excellent, with me the reader going through the ups and downs of their relationship right along with the characters and falling in love with both protagonists. The plot and pacing was tight and quick, with me speeding through this novel in one sitting even though it was a good long length, which I also appreciated. There was a medium amount of well justified angst in this novel and very high stakes, so I was therefore able to enjoy the angst. This novel used the Forced Proximity trope, and the Partner in Trouble trope. The world building, plot and pacing were all five stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also five stars. The combined rating for this novel was therefore five stars. This novel ended on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that was a big plus. I recommend this story to readers who enjoy spicy romantic suspense novels where the hero knows what he wants and goes after it. I really look forward to reading the Ukrainian bodyguard's romance when it releases! I plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.
