This novel was well written with few typos. The typos did not at all detract from the reading experience for me. The world building of this paranormal erotic romance was quite good and the characterization of the hero and heroine was okay. The spicy scones were quite hot and I enjoyed how Alpha and ruthless the hero was. The one weakness of this novel was the development of the romantic relationship between the hero and heroine. I was told that the heroine had fallen in love with this hero, but I did not really get to see the process of the both of them falling in love. They had hot sexual chemistry, but the development of the love between them was kind of missing. Part of that may have been because of this novels' use of the Fated Mates trope, or how short the story was. This novel had high stakes and low angst, which is one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. I recommend this novel to readers who like Alpha demons in their erotic paranormals.
