This novel was cleanly written and edited, with no typos that I could discern. The world building in this series continues to be top-notch, with the Dothvek's desert planet and it's various races and cultures being a vibrant character in itself. The characterization of the hero and heroine was competent, with both of them being sympathetic characters. This novel uses both the Fated Mates trope and the Mars Needs Women trope, both of which I typically enjoy. The novel has low angst and high stakes, with an exciting, adventure filled plot that kept me turning the pages. I look forward to reading the next novel in this series when it comes out! I am enjoying this series more than the author's Drexian Brides series, so far. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy alien sci-fi romance with adventure elements and a space opera feel.
