This novel was well written and edited, with few typos which did not at all detract from my enjoyment of this story. I enjoyed this second novel in the Kenorian Warriors series much more than the first novel. This novel redeemed this series for me, after a rough start with the first book. The plot and pacing was fast paced and exciting, and the characterization of the hero and heroine of this novel was well done. This novel contains a child, so maybe don't read this one if you dislike children in romance novels. I really enjoyed the child, and she was a massive part of this story and the plot. I enjoy children in romance novels, however. The world building in this novel was well done, and the development of the romantic relationship between the hero and heroine was the least well done aspect of this novel, but that was simply a function of the fact that there was so much high stakes action and plot taking place that there were not a lot of quiet relationship development scenes in this novel. I still thoroughly enjoyed this story. This story contained medium angst and high stakes, which is one of my preferred narrative structures in a romance novel. The book contained a whiff of the Mars Needs Women trope and more than a whiff of the high fantasy or sci-fi Chosen One trope. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy alien sci-fi romances with characters who have some sort of super-power.
