Alien Prince's Curvy Fated Queen by Sara Hazel

This novel was cleanly written and edited, with me catching not enough typos to significantly detract from the reading experience. However, the hero of this novel was incredibly pushy and tended to completely ignore the heroine's firmly stated boundaries in the first part of this novel, which made this heroine fall in love with him? I, as the reader, am told that she loves him about halfway in to this story, but why? He is kind of a pushy arrogant waste of space. The spicy scenes were weird and psychedelic, with him having a way too large endowment, and in one of the scenes they were supposed to be making love for a whole month. Yet neither of them needed any water, food, or sleep for a month straight? The religious overtones were pretty uncomfortable for me, too, because the hero comes across as a religious fanatic. Now, I like reading about characters who have a strong faith, but that is not at all how the hero struck me, as having a healthy faith. He struck me as having more of an unhealthy fanatic mindset. The angst was low in this novel, and the stakes were objectively high in this novel, but I was certainly not excitedly turning the pages wanting to know what happened next. The heroine not speaking up when her instincts were warning her the dressmaker was dangerous also made her kind of unsympathetic. The page count was way too short for a satisfying romance novel, also. The way humans were treated in this society was also a strike against Yalania as a whole. I do not recommend this novel, and I will not be buying myself a keeper copy of this book.
