This novel was fairly cleanly written and edited, with few enough typos that it did not detract at all from my ability to enjoy this story. The world building in this novels was great, with me the reader seeing some of the beautiful wildlands of the new Draconian home world. The characterization was good in this novel with me finding the hero of this novel more sympathetic than the hero of the previous novel in this series. The heroine was super sweet and sympathetic, too. The development of the romantic relationship between these two protagonists was sweet and organic, with me really getting to see them go through the process of falling in love. This novel uses the Mars Needs Women trope, which is one of my favorites. The plot and adventure elements in this novel were quite exciting, with me rapidly turning the pages wanting to know what was going to happen next. The angst in this novel was low and the stakes were really high, which tends to be one of m preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy sci-fi romance with alien heroes and a matriarchal culture. I will be buying myself a keeper copy of this novel, I think.
